The History behind the E
The first thing most people notice when they come to Liscombe Lodge is that the surrounding area of the same name, Liscomb, is missing the letter E. Many have wondered why this is so I shall clarify now. The community Liscomb is spelled this way because of the natives who use to live in the area. Liscomb translates to “splendid eeling place”. Liscombe has an extra letter, the mysterious E, because it was named after the Liscombe House Tudor Mansion in Buckinghamshire, England. I hope that was a little bit helpful for you.
Resort updates
People who know me (very well) would say that I should have been born a fish, so nothing makes me happier than to announce that the pool has been filled and is patiently awaiting for you to dive right in!
The whirlpools have also been filled and heated just for you to come and drown all your sorrows in the hot and relaxing waters.
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the door to the Marina is wide open! Come on in and see what kind of fun surprises we have waiting for you!
Another Mother’s Day at Liscombe Lodge has come and gone successfully, the children left with their arms and stomachs full of food and crafts while the parents were merry, enjoying the beautiful buffet in the Riverside Dining Room.

Big thanks to Alex, Mattie, Donavan, Mya, Olivia, Nathanial, Emerson, Jann and Ally, for joining me for crafts in the loft above the dining room!
Until next time,
Amanda
