Whether the weather is a cool or wet, or if you just need a day indoors, our range of complimentary activities will make your Nova Scotia vacation a memorable experience for your family. Our knowledgeable Recreation and Front Desk Staff are available to answer all your questions and help you choose the activities right for you.

Pool and Fitness Centre
Enjoy a work-out in our fitness room. Take a dip in our heated indoor swimming pool; or relax in our two whirlpools and sauna.

Aqua Fit
Join us for an hour of aerobic fun in the pool. Classes accommodate all fitness levels, but there is limited availability so sign up early.

Wadd’s Library
Commander Wadd’s spent his last years reading books of British history and politics. In his honour, we created a collection of books for audiences big and small. Grab a book, pull up a rocking chair or a patch of grass and lose yourselves in an exciting plot.

Hoards of Boards
Games that is! Our recreation team will assist you with finding the idea the board game to challenge your friend of family member. View the list of games at the front desk.

Games Night
Come to the Wadd’s Lounge to play board games and card games with your family and friends, new and old.

Movie Night
Curl up with a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy a movie. Don’t forget your pillow, blanket and friends or family.

Kids Bedtime Story-Time
Let the kids wear their pjs and visit Wadd’s Lounge for a bedtime story. Listen to the animated voices of our resident storytellers, as they narrate sitting in front of the fire. Don’t forget your pillow, blanket and a warm glass of milk.

Souvenir Bingo
Grab a dauber and join us for a game of bingo where the winner takes home a souvenir of Nova Scotia! (Subject to a small fee of $2 to $10 per person)

Recreation Building
Come on down and take a turn at our variety of indoor table games, including indoor shuffleboard, air hockey, pool, and football.

Teen Spa Hour
Daydream the afternoon away in our Teen Spa room. You and your friends will sample the hottest product trends in health and beauty, chat over smoothies, and chill-out with the newest magazines. For teens only (ages 12-17). (Subject to a small fee of $2 to $10 per person)

“Sundae” Social
We all scream for ice cream. Bring the entire family and enjoy this tasty event. We supply all the fun ingredients so you can make your own sundae. (Subject to a small fee of $3-5 per person)

Cookie Decorating
This is the best kind of craft…ever! It’s the kind of craft you can create and then eat! Get ready, get set, and get creative! Decorate your own sugar cookie with our delicious homemade icing and then enjoy the rewards of your hard work. (Subject to a small fee of $2 to $10 per person)

Crafty Creations
Exercise your craft muscles with this creative activity for all ages. Bring your family and your imagination.

Trash to Treasure Crafts
Help us Go Green! We all know that recycling is good for the environment, so why not take recycling one step further and create interesting works of art using recycled materials. Join us and we’ll show you how.
